go into printer settings under control panel and click on printers. From here you can change the default if you have more than one printer.

Your computer will choose a default printer if you do not choose one for it. Check that the printer info was installed properly and that you can print a test page using right click, properties on the printer icon of choice. If you can manually print a test page then both printers were installed properly. If one does not print then you know who the culprit is. You will have to maunally choose or change the default printer depending on which one you want to print to. Make sure the printer driver is installed on both computers.

Check for paper jams. Instruct computer to cancel all print jobs then reset printer memory by unplugging printer from electric outlet, wait 10 seconds and plugging back in. If it still doesn't work, check the following: Make sure paper trays are installed correctly. Do you have sufficient ink/toner? Are ink/toner cartridges installed correctly? Is printer cable connected correctly? Is printer cable good? They can short out. Is the printer designed to work with your operating system? Is correct driver installed? Is the printer set as the default printer? Do you know printer is functional? Try connecting printer to another computer.
Default printer is chosen automatically when you call print dialog. If you want to set another printer as default you can do it by going to Start -> Devices and Printers -> right click on the printer you want to make default. Choose "Set default printer".
