if you have the kl engine (2.5 v6) , after removing the air intake pipes with the air box and airflow meter ( it,s in the way) . you will be able to unscrew three philips head screws that hold the distr. cap to distr. try and place that aside by cable tie or whatever as you need not remove the plug leads from the cap. then using a size 12 socket and short extension ,loosen the bolts holding the distr. to the engine ( head ). you can if you desire note the position of the rotor ,but you don,t have too, as the distr. slots in to position ( only a set position )after removing the two size 12 bolts, pull the distr. out gently. and their you have it.
There is no Distributor cap or rotor in a 91 Mazda Miata. All years of the Miata use electronic computer controlled ignition systems.
It takes about .9 of an hour to change regardless of which engine you have.(book time) it is located on the distributor, you have to remove the distributor to check it and/or replace it.
Not sure what you are asking. It is a fairly easy removal and replacment with common tools and can be done in your garage.
distributor or coil
it has to be the distributor cap or rotor or wires...plug wires.
3 bolts on distributor, take off valve cover 13 mm on distributor 12 or 11 mm on cover
well if u look at a Mazda 2007 youll see the wires are blue so if you look a the Mazda 1997 it is the same as Mazda 1996 the wire is pinky red on tht one.so the order will be 1996,1997,2007 there all sorted if this was the answer you were looking for.
Donate it to GoodWill and get Tax Deduction! Do not buy Mazda. Get a bicycle and go green! haha
