The owner's instruction manual gives basic instructions which are sufficient to achieve a successful bulb replacement if followed with care.
From inside the boot carefully remove the top central trim panel. This will reveal two retaining clips holding the central lamp unit in place, the bottom of each can be eased out gently using a small flat-head screwdriver. From outside the vehicle the whole lamp unit can then be eased from the boot panel taking care not to crack the plastic case.
The bulb (W16W) can be simply pulled out and replaced. It's worth checking the bulb works before then replacing the clips on the unit and pressing it back into place.
A twin-pack of Osram bulbs cost me a fiver on Amazon and the job took around 10 minutes.
