ahh.. I have done this! Rare part to go bad but it does. Mine went bad at 240,000 miles (I love American cars!)
Follow the spark plug wires back to the coil packs. Under the coil packs is the module your looking for. I think it has 2 or 4 bolts holding it on.
Get one from the junk yard, I got mine for 20 bucks.
Its hard to change because its on the back of the motor. You will have to work some from the top and some from the bottom. I did it in about an hour.

the ignition coil on a 2004 chevy cavalier is the black part on top of the engine were it says eco 2.2 but its not hard to miss its very easy to change as well

Disconnect the battery. Remove the ignition coils. Remove the ignition control module that was under the coils, and replace it.
Remove the wiring harness from your 1995 Chevy Blazer ignition control module. Remove the ignition control module retaining screws. Reverse the process to install your new ignition control module.
there is no ignition control module on the 1996 model its all through the PCM

you take off the ignition coils on top of the valve cover there are 4 bolts you have to take off then pop off the ignition coil

Remove 2 bolts. LOL mine is located on the throttle body
Remove the fuel tank or remove the bed, your choice.
