First of all take out the negative cable of the battery. Secondly, there are two terminals on the solenoid, which is the round piece on top of the starter. Take out the connection on the outer nut sticking out. There is another nut besides it towards the inside which you need not touch. Thirdly, take out the two mounting bolts, first the one under then the one on top. The starter will just drop once you take out the second bolt.
