Remove the bolts from the old one, pull it off, take the old gasket off, clean the valve cover and put a new one in it's place. Just make sure you disconnet any other items that may be bolted to the valve cover before you try to remove it from the engine. You may also want to use a good hi-temp gasket sealer on the cover only. DO NOT apply it to both sides of the new gasket because if you do and you ever have to change it again, you'll have a lot of fun scraping it off the cylinder head.
