It is very difficult and time consuming for a back yard mechanic. I have done it before and I didn't think I would ever finish. I'll put it this way, if you're going to try this yourself you'll need every tool that you've got and then some. 2 head gaskets, head studs, valve seals, timing belt along with tentionors and all pulleys associated with the timing and you'll probably want to get some 3rd gen lash adjusters will get you started. You'll need timing tools and also a tool that is used to compressed the valve springs to get the keepers out. You can do a search on all of this. It's very extensive you can't do this on a weekend.
remove heads seal oil drain so seals dont fall in. then loosen and remove seals. replace and put engine back together. may need special mitsu. tools
Which oil seal and which engine?? There's an oil pan gasket, a rear main seal, a front seal, valve cover gaskets, and an oil pump shaft seal, just to name the main ones.
valve seal
valve cover gaskets, front main seal, rear main seal, timing chain cover gasket, could be any of these. ... How would i change a valve cover gasket on a 96 camaro rs. Their is a steel plate in the way on the left side.
Need to know what seal you are talking about. Front crankshaft seal, wheel seal, etc?
Remove transmission and replace the rear main seal
Replace the valve seal and check the valve guide for wear.
you will have to pull the tranny out to change it and then you can pop it out with a screwdriver.
You can either pull the engine are the transmission. But 1 are the other has to be removed to change the rear main seal. Your choice.
It's probably the seal inside the valve. They're pretty easy to change.
It is a seal that prevents engine oil from entering the valve guide causing oil loss and oil burning.
In a two-stroke reed valve engine the reed valve is used to seal the fuel air mixture in the crankcase.
