Changing the oil pump on a 96 S10 is simple but will take some time. All you do is jack up the car, drain the oil, remove the oil pan gasket, take out the oil pan, unbolt the old oil pump and put in a new one.

Darin the oil on an oil panÊand reinstall the drain plug. Support the vehicle on jack stands. Remove oil pan gasket and clean the mounting surface. Remove the oil pump and install the new one.
