you cannot service panel lights on 2000 impala . you hav to replace the instrument cluster.

The fuse is identified as "SRS" (Supplemental Restraint System) and is located in the Driver's Side Instrument Panel Fuse Box. To access it, open driver's door & remove the Cover on the side of the Instrument Panel...
The Door Lock Controls mini-fuse is identified as "DR LK" & is in the Driver's Side Instrument Panel Fuse Block and can be accessed by opening the Driver's Door & pulling off the cover at the end of the Instrument Panel.....
remove the trim panel around the instrument cluster then remove cluster. On the back of instrument cluster are the bulbs just turn them half a turn and they come right out.
