Regarding Renault scenic 2004 - 2008 models there is a src button on stereo player which you have to hold it for about 10 seconds. When the time start blinking then use volume buttons to set the time. 2003 and older there is button under the time on dash board use them by holding to set the time. 2003 new shape like 2004 should follow the first method mentioned above. From my experience this was followed about 2 months later by the whole display expiring. Renault replaced under part warranty for set price of £100 (March 2010). I found the trip meters kept resetting as well - don't leave it too late taking to Renault though, when the whole display started flashing on and off it added about 100 miles per flash to the odometer

Remove the speaker grilles either side of the dashboard by gentle levering, undo the two torx screws underneath. Put steering wheel at lowest position and pull dashboard sharply towards you, fingers placed on the top dash in front of the windscreen air vents. The top of the dash is removed and access to the clock bulbs are behind the clock, secured by the visible torx screws. Bulbs are removable by turning the bulb holder 1/4 or 1/2 turn and the bulbs simply pull out of the holders.Try eBay for cheap replacements!
