take out light bulb in a dash
Hey There: What year of trooper do you have????
How to change headlight bulb 2011 ram 3500
For the 1994 model (B3000), you can't change just the bulb. You have to change the headlight assembly.
behind assembly, bulb is connected with electrical clip, remove clip turn bulb counter clockwise and remove. easy as tHAT. See sources and related links below for bulb information.
Take it to Auto Zone or Discount Auto Parts, they'll do it for free if you buy the bulb there.
This can be done entirely from the outside of the truck. You will need a Phillips head screw driver to remove the taillight assembly from the truck. After you take that off, the bulb needs to be pushed in first, then turned to be able to get it out. You cannot just pull it out. Insert the new one by pushing it in and turning it to secure it.
The bulb can be acessed behind the headlight in the center of the reflector,remove socket and pull out bulb and replace with new one.Do not touch bulb with fingers,oil from hands will shorten bulb life.
You can gain access from behind the bumper.
Remove battery, remove horn, remove wire, twist bulb counter-clockwise to remove.
Pull the burned out bulb out of the end of the cable and push in a new #912 bulb. {At least this works on a 1993 F-150}
Let down the tailgate. There are two or three screws holding it on.
