According to Haynes' manual for 1983- 1992 Ranger and Bronco II, 2.0 and 2.8L engines are 4Qts w/o filter change and 5Qts with filter change. 2.3 with stamped steel pan is 6Qts with filter change and 5Qts w/o filter change 2.3 with cast aluminum pan is 5 with filter change and 4 w/o filter change
