Raise the front of the truck. Open the water separator drain on the lower fuel filter housing, draining into at least a gallon sized container. Using a 36mm socket, open the underhood fuel filter. Remove the old filter, being sure to remove the old o-ring. Lubricate the o-ring and put it on the new filter. Install the new fuel filter and replace the cap. Loosen the hanger for the wiring mess in front of the lower fuel filter cap. Using the 36mm socket, a short extension, and a universal joing, remove the lower fuel filter cap. Remove the filter and o-ring. Lubricate the new o-ring with diesel and install it on the new filter. Insert the new fuel filter. Replace the cap. Replace the wiring hanger. Cycle the ignition switch to "on" and wait for 30 seconds. Repeat this six times. Start the truck and check for leaks.
