There are 3 bolts 1- on top of the headlight right when you open the hood. the other 2- (10mm) is locate right in front of the wheel underneath the wheel well slash guard. Once all bolts are remove. You can start gentle prying the light out starting from the inside.

on the passenger side right by the fire wall you will see a nozzle that looks like a valve on a tire, that is your low side where you put your coolent. Follow the hose from the compressor and it will take you right there
lift the hood it is on the right side.
If it is like the 1999 it is in the front of the car. Lift the hood...look in front of the condensor. Its a long tube...right with the high side port coming out of it. The fan is to the left of it.
The timing is computer controlled, there is no adjustments. I know this is a little late, but timing could be off because the timing belt is not properly aligned. If the timing belt is installed incorrectly the timing will never be right.
