With the car front end safely lifted, support the engine with a jack, using a board on top. Unbolt the motor mounts one at a time. Slightly lift the engine, then remove and replace the motor mount. Repeat for the other side.
You have to unscrew the motor mount srews.

A motor from a 1991 Oldsmobile will fit into a 1996 Oldsmobile Delta 88. The motor mounts will need to be changed.
disconnect motor mount from right frame (passenger side) jack motor up about 6 to 8 inches....then it is a breeze. otherwise impossible!
you need to loosen front motor mounts, take the bolts out, use crow bar to pull motor forward, put motor mount bolt through the hole, this holds the motor forward, then you can get to the back plugs

Could be one of three V6 engines or a Chevy V8. The transmission won't bolt up to the Olds motor. However, you can change the motor mounts.....Use the ones for a Cutlass and a Buick, Olds, Pontiac transmission.

I have a 95 Olds 98 Regency and the attena motor for my car is in the trunk. The motor is located directly under the attena itself. If you pull back the inner trunk covering, you should see the motor.

You have to hoist the motor up just enough to get it off take the motor mount nuts off there is a filter inside the oil pan tht is holding it
you must jack up engine about 5 " by removing side motor mount, then take off eng. mounting plate to access pully.
