You'd need to be more specific about the make and model of vehicle, but generally if you've got the mechanical aptitude to be able to do this, how to do it is pretty obvious if you just look.
There are a few vehicles in which the engine positioning is such that there's a "trick" to it. If you have such a vehicle, you might want to invest in a mechanic's guide for the vehicle... these usually cost $10-20 at an auto parts store and cover any maintenance you could reasonably do without special tools (and some you DO need special tools for).
take it and the headlights to a dealer
You can get wiring diagrams showing how to change 91 Civic Hatch headlights to JDM headlights in the owner's manual. You can also find it at select auto part stores.
The headlights on a 95 and 96 are longer than the 97-99 headlights. For them to fit you ave to change the front bumper as well.
There is no switch to change the headlights on an Impala. To change the headlights, you need to remove the dome coverings by gently squeezing in the clip at either side. The bulb will then be exposed for removal and replacement.
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1997 Chevrolet Z71 headlights. Remove the headlight retaining bolts. The headlights will come out. Reverse the process to install the new headlights.
