The best solution is to purchase and install a clamp on block heater which is available through a Suzuki dealer. To my knowledge, you can't install a normal type of block heater (installs in frost plug). Dave Saskatchewan Canada 96 Suzuki Sidekick Sport
If you mean the HVAC fan, the resistor should be located within the fuse block.
No... Diode block one way... resistor block eitherway.
To change the starter on a Suzuki Sidekick, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Then, remove any components obstructing access to the starter, such as the air intake or battery, and locate the starter, which is usually mounted on the engine block. Unplug the electrical connections and remove the mounting bolts securing the starter. Finally, install the new starter by reversing the removal steps, reconnecting the battery, and testing the ignition.
In a 1997 Suzuki Sidekick, the thermostat is typically located in the engine compartment, mounted on the engine block. It is usually found at the end of the upper radiator hose where it connects to the engine. Accessing it may require removing the hose and possibly other components for better visibility and reach. Always refer to a repair manual for detailed instructions specific to your model.
It is a resistor or a group of resisters used to control the flow or current in a circuit. Like the resistor block in a car controls the speed of the a/c blower.
The crankshaft position sensor for a 1997 Suzuki Sidekick is typically located near the bottom of the engine, close to the crankshaft pulley. It is usually mounted on the engine block or the transmission bell housing. To access it, you may need to remove some components or shields, depending on the engine configuration. Always refer to a repair manual for specific instructions for your vehicle model.
There is only 1 of 4 that you can get to without pulling the manifolds. Use a punch to knock one side into the block. Don't worry about bending it; that's what you want. Don't punch it too far it; you have an alloy block; not steel. The plug will turn sideway and you can pull it out with pliers. Cover the edge of the new one with RTV gasket maker and tap it in (flush with the block) with a socket the size of the inside of the plug.
The resistor block or blower motor resistor is used to control the speed of the blower motor. That is how you get the lower speeds on your air conditioning or heater. The higher the resistance the lower the speed of the motor.
To remove the crankshaft bolt on a 1997 Suzuki Sidekick 1.6L, first, ensure the engine is secure and the vehicle is on a flat surface. Use a breaker bar and a socket that fits the crankshaft bolt to apply counterclockwise force. It may be necessary to prevent the engine from rotating by placing a wood block between the flywheel and the housing or using a crankshaft pulley holder tool. After loosening the bolt, it should be removed by hand.
Pull out the lock on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector to unlock the connector latch . Depress the latch on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector and disconnect the connector from the resistor. Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor block to the HVAC housing. Remove the resistor block from the HVAC housing............
To replace the water pump on a 1995 Suzuki Sidekick, first, disconnect the negative battery cable and drain the coolant. Remove the serpentine belt, then take off the timing belt cover, and remove the timing belt if necessary. Next, unbolt the water pump from the engine block, clean the surface, and install the new pump with a new gasket. Finally, reassemble the timing belt, cover, and serpentine belt, refill the coolant, and reconnect the battery.
