i have a 2001 cavalier 2.2 engine to change the spark plug wires gave me by the number to put on the spark plug
If the coil packs are on top of the engine, you should be able to replace them by length. But if the coil packs are behind the engine mounted to the block, you will have to raise it and get under it. A lift would make this much easier. They are hard to reach. An oil changing place could do it for you for a fee.Wal-Mart may charge a rack fee. But if it IS back there, it's not the easiest thing to do,,,,but can be done..
The 1988 Chevy Cavalier spark plug wires are quite easy to remove. The spark plug wires simply pull off on each end. Put the new spark light wires on by pushing downward on each end.
no distributor or spark plug wires its a coil pack on the top of the engine.
A diesel engine doesn't have spark plugs or spark plug wires.
we need help! how do you change spark plugs and wires on a 2001 toyta camery
Not really. If you remove the center cover on the top of the engine you'll see that there are spark plug "boots" that fit down on the spark plugs.
On the 2.2L engine they are in the front between the exhaust manifold. On the 2.4L engine they are under the aluminum cover on the top of the engine. There are no plug wires on the 2.4L engine.
I pretty sure that engine has coil on plug...so no wires.
If you have an Ecotec 2.4L engine, you haven't got any spark plug wires. older Quad-4 engines didn't have them either. the old 2.2L OHV engine had them, but I don't think that's in your car.
Disconnect the battery, remove the engine cover, remove the spark plugs wires and boots, and remove the spark plugs. Put in the new spark plugs, replace the spark plug wires and boots, replace the engine cover, and connect the battery.
One at a time.
To replace spark plug wires on a 3300 Oldsmobile engine, open the hood and remove the wires from the end of the engine. The number of spark plug wires most often corresponds to the number of cylinders your engine has.
How do I change the spark plug wires in a 1997 dodge stratus? It seems that there are three plugs and wires that are easy to get to on the front of the engine, but the other three are somewhere behind the engine near the firewall. Thank you.
