if you are talking about the center brake light on the wing of the Beretta, (like the one on an INDY Model, that has four super bright lights inside);
1. Remove the two hex-head screws on the right and left side of the red cover. I believe the number for the hex head is a 4, but you'll have to purchase a set. Don't try to use Allen heads, you'll strip them out and the replacement screws cost about 7 bucks a piece.
2. Before pulling the entire screw out on both sides, push the screws away from each other, and put pressure on the light itself with the screws, and pull the whole mechanism out. Sometimes the light is hard to pull directly out, so pull down and then towards you.
3. Once out, remove the screw on one side to release pressure on the entire (white) body of the tail lamp assembly, and pull the assembly apart on the one side. (If there are two screws, remove both.)
4. One side of the (white) plastic inner assembly comes away first, and the other side is hinged by a piece of plastic.
5. Make sure the gasket that keeps water from entering the assembly does not get ripped or damaged in the process. (Take your time pulling it apart.)
6. Once apart, it's okay to remove the damaged or burned out bulb with your fingers.
(NOTE: DO NOT REPLACE NEW BULBS USING YOUR FINGERS,) but put a new one in by first wearing rubber (food service) gloves, so as to not touch the bulb with your fingers - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT - If you touch the bulb with your skin, the oil from your fingers will blow out the bulb when you hit the brakes!!!
7. Repeat in reverse to put assembly back together and remember to assemble the light WITH the gasket. If you have to put RTV gasket sealer in the gap in place of the torn gasket, do so, but make sure it dries before you drive the car. DUST CANNOT get into the assembly, or it could start a fire. The bulbs that are in the brake light get VERY HOT, and must be kept in a sealed area.
Of all the things I did to repair my car, this part was the most rediculous!
