No this wouldn't be the blower resistor. If the blower resistor was bad then the speed selection would only work in high speed mode and no other. If air will not route through the air vents then their could possibly be a bad vent door motor or vacuum diaphragm. Check those.

I recently had my battery replaced when I noticed the same thing happen to me. I replaced one mode door actuator with no change. I think the head unit needs to be reprogrammed at the factory for my issue. I'll write back after I try this.
