First disconnect the negative battery cable, then disconnect the positive battery cable. Batteries usually are held down by a clamp or bracket. Unbolt or unhook the bracket. and remove the battery. Installation is the reverse. Hook negative cable last. HTH

I took mine off the bike and into the jewelry shop, they had no problem helping me out. good luck Formotion the company that makes the clocks has a web site to order a kit that includes the tools battery and o-rings for$24.95 plus shipping. I tried jewerly shops and not a one could get the back off. I called harley in Milwakie and they directed me to formotion.

Replace the battery cable with an OEM style cable. Do not use a clamp on terminal.
Disconnect the negative ground cable, then the positive cable. There is a center bolt holding the cables in place. Remove the battery hold down clamp which is located in front of the battery. You will probably need an rachet with an extention to get down to the hold down clamp which is between the battery and the front of the battery bracket. It may be necessary to remove the cross piece that runs across the top of the battery in order to remove it from the car. Hope this helps.

If you look carefully there is a long steel rod which it vertical tot he battery. There is a clamp at the base of the battery that holds the battery down. This long steel rod is attached to the clamp. The top of the rod is shaped to take a spanner (I use pliers on mine). You unscrew the long rod (which is the same height as the battery) and when it unscrews the clamp stays attached to its bottom. Pull the unscrewed rod out, and the battery will now lift out.
You can convert a clamp on desk lamp to a lamp with a regular base by purchasing a tabletop bracket for the lamp. This bracket can act as a base for the lamp.
Disconnect the Regal battery cables. Find the battery clamp then remove it. Lift the battery out, then put the new one in. install the clamp, then connect the battery cables.
disconnect the 97 Thunderbirds battery cables. Find the battery hold down and remove it. Lift the battery out, then lower the new one in. Install the clamp and hook up the cables.
There's a screw down clamp on the front that secures the base of the battery. Unscrew that all the way and remove. Should come right out. Insert clamp over new battery's base on front and torque it down. Should not take more than 10 minutes.
