You have to remove the Master Cylinder, disconnect the rod that is connected to the brake pedal and remove the bolts holding the Power Booster on. Connect in reverse order.

The type of brake system with vacum assist will have a large diameter hose from somewhere on the intake manifold to the brake booster. The type of brake system with hydro-boost will have hoses from the power steering pump to the brake booster.
Looking from the front of the vehicle into the engine compartment it is on the right hand side attached the brake vacuum booster. The booster is the large round object about 8 inches in diamter and attached to the fire wall. The brake master cylinder will have a cup on top containing brake fluid and brake lines coming out of it.
i know one hooks to the brake booster on chevrolet's and toyota's. just follow it from there.
unhook the 4 brake lines and the wires from the master cylinder/ABS, take off the 2 15MM nuts holding the unit to the booster, remove the unit, take off the exhaust shield for the crossover pipe, move the cruise control unit out of the way, remove the pin and take the rod off of the brake pedal, twist the booster counter clockwise until it pops loose from the firewall. you may have to remove a few things to get the exhaust shield off easier.
Could be a vacuum leak - perhaps bad brake booster Could be worn brake linings metal to metal
