i don't think you can change the climate control from F to C. i havent heard of that being available in a thunderbird
The actual answer to that question is:
1. set select knob to max a/c and the fan switch to hi
2. Press the warm, cool and outside temp buttons all at once for 3/4 of a second
3. release buttons

yes get to tools to remove the radio and it will remove the climate control panel. i used a wire hanger and snip it into 2 pieces bent them to shape and it works just fine.
