Its located under the driver's-side cab, inside the frame rail. You'll need some special wrenches most likely because the position of the filter leads it to catch tons of road grime and therefore the nuts are probably frozen. Soak them with "TURNFREE" or something similar in an attempt to loosen them prior to torquing them. I suggest using line-wrenches right from the start - they may not be necessary (if you've been living right!) but, if you're like the rest of us, you're going to have difficulty getting the nuts loose and the less you wear the edges of the bolts, the higher your likelyhood of getting the filter off without haveing to replace the fuel line. AS dirty as todays gas is you should change it every other oil change and that will also make the electric fuel pump LAST LONGER. Another answer: I recommend you change it every 36,000 miles.
As dirty as today's gas is, I would change it every 4 thousand miles so you don't burn the fuel pump up. Better safe the sorry.
