The fuel pump is in the fuel tank. The following is much easier to do with an empty tank. There are two straps holding the tank up. There is one bolt in each strap. Remove the bolts. Loosen the clamps for the various hoses and remove them. Unplug the fuel pump and sending unit wires. Drop the tank down. Remove the retaining ring on the top of the tank. Carefully lift out the pump/sending unit. Reverse the process to install.
