The 1998 Audi A8 came equipped in 3.7 and 4.2L V8 engines. Changing the oil in this application will require safely lifting the vehicle in a shop or on jack stands. Their will be a bolt on the engine oil pan, accessible from under the car. Once this bolt is removed the used engine oil will drain out. Once drained the hole and the bolt should be cleaned, reoiled and then screwed back in. The oil filter can be removed by hand, or by a filter wrench. The OE oil filter element for both engines is the AC Delco #PF1711
