Look to the rear of the driverside valve cover. You will see if at this entry point. Remove the hose and simply pull it out and replace it with the new one.
need to know the size of the engine
depending on which motor you have 2.0 in the valve cover 2.5 at the rear of the drivers valve cover
the quad 4 engines don't use a pcv valve
The 2000 Mercury is right at the model change for PCV valves. Some had the valves in a hose under the throttle body. The newer style has no PCV valve at all.

PCV Valves are located on either the Left or Right Manifold of the engine. Simply unplug the old one and inster the new one. HTH
The PCV valve is located in the back of the left valve cover (drivers side). The PN is 18118-77E00
on a 1998 Pontiac gan am ,they do not have a pcv valve.
Find the PCV valve towards the rear of the engine, and remove the PCV valve. Remove the rubber vacuum line, and discard the old Valve. Connect the vacuum line to the new valve and put the valve in its place.?æ
remove the old pcv valve by pulling it straight out of the valve cover, pull the hose off the other end. Installation is the reverse of removal.
