I suggest a service manual like "alldatadiy.com". This was a two day job for me.
1. Drain radiator
2. Remove the intake manifold--be careful not to drop anything inside the engine.
3. Remove the intake manifold spacer
4. Remove upper radiator hose and thermostat extension tube.
5. Remove thermostat
6. Reassemble per specified torque as per service manual.
You'll need a small ratchet extension to remove the intake manifold and "star" sockets for the bolts on the spacer and thermostat.
Again . . . a service manual will go a long way. I tried a couple "CD" types, but alldatadiy.com has the best info.
Yes it will.
Follow the lower hose from the radiator. It connects to the thermostat and the bypass hose from the top hose (all in one housing).
It all depends on the model of the Saturn car. There are 1.9 liter engines, or motors and there are also 2.4 liter engines. It is best to visit a Saturn car dealership to get the best information.
The 2.7 liter V6 is an interference engine according to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etc. )
