Buy Chilton's service manual from Kragen.
depends, what kind of belt?
No, they all have a cam belt that must be replaced at a set mileage.
My Del Sol was doing the exact same thing. We discovered the timing belt was off a notch. Also after we adjusted the timing belt, it began getting better gas mileage.
Hello. Most databases say it is an interference engine; however my trusted Honda mechanic says it is hit and miss. If it turns "fast" best to leave it alone until you can have it looked at by a mechanic of your choice, or you pull the engine and have a look at the timing belt/head.
You don't, There isn't one.
Where is the thermostat on a 1997 Honda Del Sol
1997 was the last year for the Honda Del Sol DSR.
the Honda del sol is a civic so they do have the same lug pattern and offset
It is a project that requires either a Shop manual or service CD or expert advice or someone who has done it before. On my 1995 Del Sol I had to dismantle many things to be able to replace the timing belt. But, it was either this or $800 at the Honda dealer. It is such a job that I followed advice and replaced the water pump, idler pulley, A/C idler, and other belts. All of the belts, plus gaskets, came to around $135-$150.
Honda Del Sol's sold in the US in 1997 1997 = 5,603 Del Sol's were sold.
Honda CR-X del Sol was created in 1992.
