7.4 quarts of Dextron VI, do not overfill
During warm weather, Valvoline power steering fluid is recommended for the Buick rendezvous. In cold weather climates, Red line power steering fluid is recommended.
The Rendezvous only has one washer fluid reservior. Front and rear washers use the same one, located up front under the hood.
The Power steering pump is located underneath where you put the power steering fluid.
Do you mean "change THE transmission" or "Change the transmission FLUID"? Big difference there....
Having mine changed today. Understand its beneath the power steering fluid well on drivers side of engine.
If you have all wheel drive a previous posting said to totally replace the fluid you will need 4 bottles of fluid (2 litre). Mine was a 2007 with 3.5l engine with AWD and it took 6 quarts of Dextron VI.
5 to 7 for a fluid change Add 3 to 5 for a rebuild.
It goes in where your dipstick is in the back of motor compartment
You must remove the transmission fluid pan which consists of 17 or 20 screws.Unscrew them in an odd pattern without totally removing them until you've loosened them all.You will then have the fluid begin draining, have a large drain pan to catch the fluid. After fluid slows, finish removing pan which will have remaining fluid come out. Transmission filter will also be accessible at this point making that a quick and very necessary part of the job.Hope that helps.
it takes 8 quarts of fluid
Yes should be changed on all automatics
