How do you put on clothes on Poptropica?

To change clothes on Poptropica, you first have to play the game. You'll see a backpack symbol on the top of the screen (If you roll your mouse over it, it'll say Items). Click it and in the top left hand corner it says the name of what island you're playing on. Click on the arrow pointing down and the word Store Items and a star will be in yellow. Click on that and your clothes that you've purchased from the store would be there.

If you want to switch clothes with another character from Poptropica, click the green shirt and then click a character from Poptropica and click whatever clothes they have that you want to wear.

Well, you either buy one, or customize it to match someone elses. If you but it, click the "Inventory" button, and then you can browse through all of your purchased items. To customize, click the "Customize" button, and then click on a person. Sometimes it won't let you customize to them, though, because those are items purchased from the store.

To put on clothes in Poptropica, you first have to click on the "green tee shirt icon" and click on the person you want to choose clothes from. (or on a display of costumes)

A window with the character should pop up. Click on the pieces of clothing you desire. Press the accept button if you like what you see. If you change your mind and don't like it, you click cancel. You can also remove items, but usually cannot recover the costumes you previously had.

If you want to take off a certain item of clothing (or carried item), again select a character and just click on the item you want to remove.

You can go into multiplayer rooms and customize clothes off people, or find an outfit you want in the Store. There's no way to actually change your clothes back to their original form otherwise.

Unless you buy the Costume Collector from the Store, there is no way to resume an appearance that was copied (for example, if you put on a costume on Super Power Island). The game only keeps track of some garments when others are worn on top. Others will be lost once you replace them with something else. You can always put on costumes you have bought by chosing them on the Store Items tab of the item bag.

Ideally, you can choose clothes that belong to permanent characters on Poptropica, such as the Bank President on Super Power Island or Shark Boy in the Museum on Shark Tooth island. These are always available should you need to put them back on.

Another popular custom is wearing parts of reward costumes from ad-games, as you don't need a Costume Collector to save them for future use.

You can either use credits to buy clothing, or customize from other players in the chat rooms.

Then click on the bar with the arrow on it.

Finally click on store items!
