You can find the refrigerant charge port on top of the air conditioner compressor. The refrigerant charge port will be labeled as the low pressure port.
Next to the air filter box
the most likely reason is that the gas pressure is too low.Get the gas topped up at an AC specialist.
The idling speed is automatically sensed ....and set by the Air control valve
It is on the top righthand side at the back of the engine compartment.
open the rear boot and pull out the spare wheel, then use a metal detector to search for the fuses as they get lost in there ,
It sounds like your switch from hot to cold is stuck on cold
on the 54 scenic i have just done it is behind the the battery. you have to take the panel above it off. it is vertical,so you are only seeing the end of it. its held in with two screws. it was a 19 diesel model
remove drivers side front wheel, plastic panel behind spring/shock. real fiddly but can be done with minimal swearing ! if you have A/c then the air may be a tad bluer!

It needs to be charged by a specialist. There they will drain the refrigerative and compressed air and inject an ultra violet dye and new refrigerant. Then when they pressuirse it up and test it they hold out a uv lamp to see if the AC is leaking and where from...... Then charge you £1000's to fix it!!
Driver's side of the engine bay, near the bulkhead. I am told there is only one, which is new to me, as my previous cars have had two, one high pressure and one low pressure, the low one being smaller.
