On automatics you aren't supposed to. But there is a check level plug on the D/S of the transmission. This can be reached from under the car. Make sure the car is level when checking the fluid level. If none drains out when you remove the plug, stick your finger inside to see if it is too low. Where exactly is this plug &what size is it.Is it a bolt or a 3/8 rachet square plug.
