Use insulated plug wire puller to notice if the engine slowes down and misses when wire is removed
Bad spark plug?Bad plug wire?Bad valve?*Bad piston?* Do a compression check to check engine internal condition
bad plug bad plug cap stator
Check the spark plug cables and spark plugs themselves. I had the same problem about 3 months ago, and it was a bad plug cable and a bad plug as well.
Bad spark plug or plug wire or one or both valves leaking or stuck. Time for a compression check or spark check.
If you have oil on your spark plug it most likely means you have a bad valve seat. A compression check and cylinder leak down test is what you need to do.
If the car will not start...the spark-plug is bad.
A spark plug that is causing a misfire is one of many reasons for the check engine light to come on.
Bad spark plug, bad spark plug wire
misfire .. probably bad spark plug wire.
Check that battery has power. Check that coil pack has power and is grounded. Ground out one spark plug and see if there is any spark. If there is no spark, then it is either a fuse or your coil pack is bad. Rule out that the coil pack is good and that your spark plug wires are bad. Test them all individually. Don't get shocked by the 20K volts from the ignition, it really hurts.
Bad spark plug?Bad plug wire?Bad valve?Bad piston? If plug or wire not defective do a compression check to determine whether problem is internal
Yes. If the ignition is malfunctioning, the spark plug will not ignite. A bad ignition module, a bad spark plug or a bad plug wire are the most common causes of that (besides a bad battery, of course).
