I had a leak with a new pool and they could not find it.
Finally hired a company called "Leak Locator" and they use equipment like a sonar.
They put a listening instrument in the pool and walked around. they heard the "hissing"sound of the water being sucked out. Within two minutes the person found the two small leaks and sealed them.... Cost me ~ $225.
get someone that can Scuba dive to look around for visible tears/cracks. diver will take a dye substance (food coloring for example) and squeeze it near the suspected area. if it gets visibly sucked into the tear/crack, you've located a problem spot.
Before you hire a professional leak locator see if you can deduce where you might be losing water. Abnormally high chlorine levels can cause pipes and plastic weir skimmers to crack and leak. (Does the water level fall below the water outlet ports in the pool?) Abnormally low calcium hardness levels can cause paint to chip by leaching calcium from grout and concrete which may enable water to permeate the pool walls or floor. You can also pressure test the circulation pipes to rule that possibility out (don't overdo it with the pressure). You may have recently noticed a sudden change in your pressure gauges which might indicate a compromised circulation pipe. You may notice signs of settling or cracking in deck areas or building foundations which may indicate settling due to water leaks.
record the amount lost with the pool on for 12hrs and with the pool off. then you can tell if its a pool or liner leak.
And, you have to remember that you will loose up to 1.5" of water per week thru evaporation. Also, do a bucket test. Use a 5 gal. bucket placing it on the top step, add water to until the water level is about the same at the water level on the outside. Mark both sides to know where you started. If after 12 hrs or so the water in the pool dropped markedly more than the water in the bucket then you have a leak of some sort somewhere. If they dropped at the same rate you have no leak to speak of. This is the scientific way a leak detection service would start. Simple buyt effective.

If you have begun to need water added more often than previously, there is probably a leak someplace, either in the pool shell or the filtration system. It is normal to need to add water, usually weekly and sometimes twice a week in the summer. The key is to note how far down the levels are, and see if the water loss increases over time.
It depends on the kind of leak. Does the water drain while the pool lines are closed off? Does if leak faster or slower while the pool is running? Are the little bubbles blowing out of the return lines? All of these can indicate leaks of different types. Each different type has a different way of finding it.
Ink die test(cheapest) or ultrasonic leak detection(accurate and a few hundred dollars)
It would be easier to replace with a floating skimmer Check poolrite dragonfly
Any cracks that are in the pool, and if it leaks. See if you can get anyone to come out and inspect the pool.
Justin Bieber has a inground pool
Don't do it. Too many possibilities for leaks. Get Fiberglass or vinyl pool, learn to install that instead.

They will most likely work, they just have to have the same specifications.
There are several variables that affect the overall cost of building and maintaining an inground pool, including the size of the pool and the material will comprise it. In the Chicagoland area a small, basic inground pool will cost between $20,000 and $50,000. Some of the larger, deeper and more high-end inground pools can cost as much as $100,000. You certainly can.
Royalswimmingpools.com sells inground pool kits nationwide and they sell to the public (no business license necessary). They are shipped from Georgia, so this is probably the best bet for you.
I think it is a judgment call. I would not replace it until it leaks. On the other hand, it will probably fail during the swimming season. Consult your swimming pool profesional for a second and perhaps more reliable opinion.
