My heater / ac blower is not working, please advise.
The blower motor control unit is located on the back of the blower motor. 1. Check fuse. 2. Turn on heat and check for voltage at blower motor. Found voltage replace blower. 3. Check for supply power from the fuse on the red wire going to the blower control unit. 4. Check for a good ground on the black wire on the control unit. 5. Check for control power on the yellow wire from the climate control unit. When you select a fan speed (or the unit selects a speed in auto mode) a voltage that ranges from .4 - 9 volts is sent down the yellow wire to the blower motor control unit. 6. If all these checks are good than change the blower motor control unit. Hope this helps.
In a Lexus ES 300, the blower motor resistor is typically located near the blower motor itself, which is usually found under the dashboard on the passenger side. To access it, you may need to remove the lower dashboard panel. The resistor controls the speed of the blower motor and is often mounted to the HVAC housing. If you're having trouble locating it, consulting the vehicle’s service manual can provide detailed guidance.

The fuse for the AC blower on a 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL is typically located in the fuse box, which is found on the driver's side under the dashboard. Look for a diagram on the cover of the fuse box to identify the specific fuse for the blower motor, usually labeled accordingly. If the diagram is not present, you may need to refer to the owner's manual for the exact fuse location and specifications. Always ensure to check and replace the fuse with one of the same amperage.

This is a good indication that the motor is being overloaded. If the motor load is belt driven, remove the belt and then check the motor amps. If it goes back to normal FLA then there is a problem with the driven load. If the motor amperage stays high check the motor bearings for the problem.
