on a 1999 jeep grand cherokee where is the coolant fan relay

Make sure that the fuse and sensor for the cooling fan are working. If these are ok then look at the fan motor, it could be bad.
We don't know what relay you are referring to. Check your thermostat and radiator fan. Fluch out your cooling system.
Looking for the radiator cooling fan air conditioning wiring diagrams for 2000 cherokee laredo
Check your fuse, and your coolant temp sensor. The coolant temp sensor is more than likely the problem
Less air is moving over the condenser which reduces the cooling. Check/ replace the radiator fan clutch.
You may have to replace the cooling fan relay or the cooling fan itself, I had the same problem and I first replaced the relay and it helped but then the cooling fan went out and I repalced it and now everything is fine.
