The Cayenne transmission is a "sealed unit" that has fluid that is never supposed to need replaced. I don't tust any lubricant to last a lifetime but it is a pain to drain and fill and the Porsche fluid is extremely expensive. The transmission is designed with a drain (larger) and a filler (smaller) on the bottom of the pan. Draining the fluid will only remove about half of the fluid in the system, the rest remaining in the troque converter and the transmission cooling lines. With a Porsche special quick filler you add fluid to through the filler to a warm transmission until it begins to overflow and leak out.
The Transmission Fluid is checked with the transmission dipstick. The dipstick is yellow handled and is at the rear of the engine. The dipstick is marked with high and low marks, the fluid needs to be between these marks when sitting on level ground.
The transmission is a "sealed" unit. On the passenger side of the engine, you'll see a button looking device that says, Dealer Use Only. It's near the engine, before the firewall. This is where the transmission oil gets checked. You need a special Mercedes dip stick that you can find online for about $40.
under the car on the tranny pan there is a red cap or just a black one pull it off.run your car if fluid comes out while it is running it dosent need any,if it dosent it does ,it is a vw be shure to use the right fluid or you will blw your trans out.
VW Passat come from the factory supossedly filled (for the life time of the car)with no checking of the leavle of the fluid. It can be filled and changed, but if your not mechanicly inclined this will be difficult. See your local mechanic
To add the transmission fluid you will first need to allow the Jetta to warm up. Once warmed up place in park, access the transmission drain plug, and then refill.
Use this wacky new invention called the "dip stick". Pull it out, wipe it off, re-insert, pull out again, read oil level. Magic!
If its an automatic it is a sealed transmission and has to be taking to the dealer and hooked up to their computer to check the fluid level.
how do you check transmission leval on a 03 Chevy impala
The same place you check the level.
The transmission in this car is a "sealed transmission." This means that you don't have to check it, and there is no dipstick. The only way to have the fluid checked/changed is to take it in to a mechanic - and most mechanics won't work on this car so you'll probably have to take it to the dealer.
How often do you change the transmission fluid in a mercedes benz c240

According to the 2003 Ford Mustang Owner Guide : 4.6 liter manual transmission ( MERCON automatic transmission fluid )
A bad internal transmission cooler located inside the radiator. Fluid is pumped into it and you could have an exchange of fluids. If the transmission fluid looks like "pepto" (pink) you will being going for a rebuilt transmission. Antifreeze reacts with the clutch plates inside the transmission.
