Volts. 12.6 volts = Full Charge 12.4 volts = 75% Charge 12.2 volts = 50% Charge 12.2 volts = 25% Charge
It is probably not rated to run at six volts. Check the labelling.
With the engine off check the voltage at the battery. A fully charged battery will read 12.6 volts. At 75% charge it will read 12.4 volts, 12.2 at 50% charge, and 12.0 volts at 25% charge. Now start the engine and check the voltage at the battery. It should read 13.5 to 15.5 volts if the alternator is working properly.
Two possibles. Either the battery needs to be replaced, or the stator is not charging. First check the battery with the engine off, should have 12. 2 volts or more, if under 12 volts, then charge and check again. If under 12 volts, then replace. If over 12 volts, run engine, check the battery volts, should have over 13 volts at idle, rev up, should get over 14 volts. If battery still shows only 12. 2 or so volts, then the stator in the engine has to be replaced.
Check the voltage at the battery with a DC volt meter. It is reads 12.6 volts is it 100% charged. 12.4 volts 75%, 12.2 volts 50%, and 12.0 volts 25% charged. Less than 12.0 volts is a dead battery. If the battery will not hold a charge with the negative cable disconnected it has a dead cell and must be replaced.

Check the voltage at the battery with the engine running. It should read from 13.5 volts to 16 volts. If it reads lower than 13.5 volts the alternator is defective.
You will need a digital voltmeter. Set the voltmeter to 20 volts DC. Check it with the probes. 1. 12.68 Volts = 100% Charge 2. 12.45 Volts = 75% 3. 12.24 Volts = 50% 4. 12.06 Volts = 25% 5. 11.89 Volts = 0%
What voltage battery are you referring to? An automobile battery is 12 volts and a fully charged auto battery should read 12.6 volts.
Check for 12 volts at the hot side of the brake light switch. If you have 12 volts at that point depress the brake pedal and check for 12 volts at the cold side of the switch. If you have power there go to the back and check the bulbs, be sure they are good. If the bulbs check okay and the wiring looks good the problem may be in the signal switch under the steering wheel.
First check voltage at the main and make sure you have 220 volts coming in. Check the voltage at both peak and off peak hours. If you find low voltage at the main lugs contact you local utility provider.
Check the output of the alternator--should be 14.2 volts
