To choose the right girl you have to first find out what she likes. So if you are talking to a girl ask her questions like what is your favourite colour? or what is you favourite movie? try and see what you have in common. Then you have to make a decision perhaps you could write down things that you like and then write down things that she likes and then compare them. Then you go on the first date. Make sure you have plenty to talk about then if you and your date have a great time and you realise that you have lots in common simply ask for her hand tip her back gently!!! and smooch!

Wow, what an overly simple answer.. almost silly. No offense, but no young man can find this useful. Let me try to assist. These are my opinions drawn from my experience.

Here is my criteria:

Physical attraction, personality, chemistry, communication, personal & family values, and the clincher for me - sexual compatibility.

Physical Attraction

Looks (face & body): We men tend to understand that we are visual. I know it sounds noble to say that beauty is only skin deep or in the eye of the beholder, and sometimes (unless you're famous or outrageously good looking) we end up with, someone not on Maxim's top 100 list of hottest hotties in the universe. I have to be physically attracted to the girl. I've been with super hot Eurobabes and lovely All-American sweethearts as well as "plain" or average women. What's important is that you find her irresistible. I know it's silly, but I get gitty. I feel those butterflies. A man needs to be attracted.

Personality

Sweet or Sour: This is tricky. Some women have a glow about them and they just exude charm and appeal. Everyone wants to be around her. I have found that most everyone is shy. It takes some time to get to know if she's honest and open or someone completely different than she appears to be. You have to know what you want. Are you looking for someone like you, or someone to counter your personality - a complete opposite? I like someone optimistic. Positive and upbeat. Understanding and free from petty jealousy or fits of anger. It helps getting through heated discussions or disagreements.

Chemistry

It's Elemental: Do you enjoy spending time together? Not just when you're doing something but can you sit and read the afternoon away at the park? Do you share the same sleep cycle? I tend to find an attraction to A-type personalities.

Communication

Two Way Street: Women want to know about their perspective man and I can talk about myself for hours but women like to feel like you're sincerely interested in getting to know her. I actively listen. This means, I ask follow up questions. I can't stand a quiet woman. I mean, someone that refuses to open up is impossible to live and love with. Ultimately, I need to know that I understand who she is and she is perceptive enough to know me. Sometimes she needs to ask me the difficult, direct questions. Can she make a discussion non-personal in order to get to some solution or conclusion? I not only take time to talk about her interests and goals but I also take into consideration how she feels about mine.

Personal & Family Values

Right, Left, or Moderate: If you believe in some type or religion, find someone that matches your beliefs. If you feel compelled to have deep political discussions with someone you love, then I recommend dating someone that is slightly different than you. I know this seems oddly contradicting to my advice about personality above but consider this… If you two share a passion and can openly talk things through, why not find someone that may open your eyes to the differences in our world? Do you want kids? Do you believe in abortion or adoption? Talk these things out.

Sexual Compatibility

Pony or Lioness: Do you want a woman that is mellow or aggressive. I like a woman that is publicly demure yet privately open-minded when it comes to sex. Remember, some more adventurous women are not easily discovered unless you are the right man to bring it out in her. This is my last criteria because it is all built upon the previous points.

In the end, you have to feel that you and she can agree on the mundane things in life… finances, food, travel, education, career, family, etc. She can be perfect on paper and still unappealing. You have to feel it in your heart. I have been in the wrong relationship because she was too wonderful to break up with, but I knew I had to move on. I wouldn't be happy if I didn't have that unspoken warmth in my loin and soul. No one can tell you who is right for you. You can talk to your friends and family for some external perceptions but we men first must begin with knowing what we want.
