The formats of referencing multiple authors are: If there are 2 authors then type in the authors by their last names and initials; use the ampersand instead of the word "and." If there is 3-7 authors then separate authors with a comma. The last author should be preceded by an ampersand instead of "and." If there is more than 7 authors then mention the first six first followed by a ". . ." and then mention the last author. No need to use the ampersand.

When citing a quote with two authors in APA format, include both authors' last names in the in-text citation, separated by an ampersand (&). For example: (Author1 & Author2, Year). In the reference list, list both authors' last names followed by a comma and an ampersand before the final author's name.

Per the related link, The OWL at Purdue:

"A Work by Two Authors: Name both authors in the signal phrase or in the parentheses each time you cite the work. Use the word "and" between the authors' names within the text and use the ampersand in the parentheses.

Research by Wegener and Petty (1994) supports...(Wegener & Petty, 1994)".

In writing a quote from a book with several authors do you use the title of the book as your reference or the title of the book where the quote was from as in the chapter references?

Depending on what format you are using (MLA, Chicago, APA, etc.), you usually cite it in the same way you have that reference listed in your works cited. For example, in APA If i have an anthology written by numerous people, I will take the first name and the date it was published. "et al" is the abbreviation meaning "and others." "quote goes in here" (Smith et al., 2008).

What is the proper way to cite the title of an article when referencing it throughout the text of the article?

Generally speaking, the title isn't referenced in the paper. Rather the authors are referenced. Furthermore, the proper way to cite articles depends on the reference format that you are supposed to use (IE APA, MLA, Chicago, etc). I would recommend going to www.citationmachine.net to select the format. Then, by entering in the applicable information, the generator will provide you with a way to cite the article on your references page and with ways to cite in within the text of the paper.

How can you cite a quote by an author referred by the author of the book you are citing I am using APA formattoo write a paper. the author who's work I am writing about has quote ANOTHER author.?

You can use the format "as cited in" to cite a quote by an author referenced in the work of another author in APA style. For example: (Smith, 2010, as cited in Jones, 2019). In your reference list, you would list the source you have read (Jones, 2019) rather than the original source (Smith, 2010).
