Mean Green. You can actually buy this at Wal-Mart or Dollar Store in your area. Wet your cleaning cloth and spray the door and watch the dirt and dinge melt away. Works wonders but DO NOT BREATH THE FUMES. Good luck. Clorox 2 full strength works without the fumes.

Put down some paper towels under the vinyl sealing. Mix up some water in a spray bottle of bleach in order to dilute it. Spray the mold with the diluted bleach and let sit for a few minutes. When the mold starts to run, scrub the area with a scrub brush or clean sponge. When the area is completely clean, go back and scrub it with some baking soda. Place the remainder of the box of baking soda inside the refrigerator to prevent odors.

Door weatherstripping on 2002 Volvo S80?

If you want to install door weatherstriiping on 2002 Volvo S80 you should try to follow this steps: Open the car door and inspect the existing door seal. Begin at one end and pinch the seal with your fingers and pull up. Find the anchor points for the old door seal and determine if it is glued or clipped or if screw fasteners hold it to the door frame. Use a razor to cut the seal away from the frame for glued applications, unscrew the fasteners for screw anchors or pull up on the seal with pliers where it clips into existing drilled holes in the door frame. Clean the door frame where the old door seal was attached. Clips that hold the new seal should be sanded lightly with Emery cloth. Door seals that use push clips should have holes that are clear of debris. Use a drill and bit to clean these holes. Clean the door frame down to the metal where the old door seal was laid if the old seal was glued to the frame. Stretch the new door seal around the door frame for a proper measurement. If the new door seal has push pins or slides that need to be mated with the holes or slides on the car door frame, then you must adjust the position of the new seal to match the anchor points on the frame. For glue-type door seals, you just need to cut and measure to the correct length. Secure the new car door seal to the car door frame. If you are screwing the new seal in place, use the existing anchor points to fasten the door seal to the door. For a seal using fasteners, push the new fasteners into the existing holes. Glued seals will require you to spread an even layer of glued along the outside of the door frame and then center the seal and press firmly to affix the door seal to the frame. Glue should be allowed to dry at least six hours before closing the door, preferably 24.

How to Repair a Refrigerator’s Door Seal?

Unfortunately, refrigerators like many things can get worn out. One thing that can happen over the life span of a refrigerator is the door seal can become frayed and damaged. This can create a number of problems such as wasting lots of energy and promoting the growth of mold inside your fridge. Here is a short list of steps to follow to replace a refrigerator’s door seal. The first step in this process is measuring your door seal’s size. Make sure to measure it exactly and not just make an estimate. Also record the refrigerator’s model number. The second step is to search for a replacement. You should be able to easily find a replacement online usually from the manufacturer’s website. Make sure to use the model number and measurements you recorded when you perform this search. Once your replacement has arrived, you need to locate the screws holding the old seal in place. Once you find the screws, unscrew them, but don’t unscrew them all the way. After they are partially unscrewed, the old seal should easily slide out of the door. Now it’s time to insert the new seal. Do it by slowly pushing the new seal behind the plastic liner on the door just as you removed the old liner but in reverse. Once you are sure the new seal is in the proper place, retighten the screws. If you put the new seal in properly, it should hold the seal in perfectly just like the old seal. Now, you should apply talcum powder to the seal. This is done to prevent the seal from sticking to the door the first time you close it. Apply the powder to the corners of the seal and where it slides. This will also help prevent the seal from twisting when it comes into contact with the fridge’s metal. Lastly, check the seal for any gaps. If you find any, use a hair dryer and blow it near the gaps. This will stretch the seal and help fill the gaps. Following these simple steps, you don’t have to be a refrigerator repair expert to fix your fridge’s broken door seal.
