You don't - throw it away. Is it worth risking a thousand dollar motor for a five dollar filter ?
To change the filter you'll need a good adjustable wrench that stretches to about 31-32". Unscrew the oil cap on top of the engine and remove the "ECOTECH" cover for the engine. (just unsnap it) Look to the driverside and you'll see a black cap with a big 31-32" hex on it that says 25nM. (dont know what this means? Unscrew the cap counter-clockwise and it will expose the small air filter looking oil filter. Throw the new one in and put everything back like you found it!
The owners manual for a 2002 Hyundai Sonata says that you need 4.4 quarts of oil. The oil pan capacity is 4.2 quarts and the oil filter itself holds .31 quarts.

The oil filter housing is also the oil cooler on a 2.2 liter 4 cyl. The question does not state the reason for removal, but I might assume that there may be an oil leak behind the filter. First, unscrew the oil filter. Behind the filter there is a threaded pipe that the filter screws onto. At the base of this short pipe there should be a 30 or 31 mm nut. The pipe and nut are one piece. If you don't have access to an impact, get a long extension and a breaker bar. Have someone help steady the extension as the nut will most likely be very tight. Try not to round off the corners of the nut. After removing the nut there will be a barrell behind the nut with a spring inside. This appears to be a check valve to release the oil back to the engine when stopped. There is a small O ring seal at the base of this piece. There is also a large O ring seal on the mating surface of this housing. The large seal on my engine was very brittle and leaking down the block. Both seals will run about seven dollars and change. If you are careful you should be able to replace the seals and clean both surfaces without removal of the hoses going to the cooler. This was a cheap and easy fix for a smelly burnt oil leak problem.

No, more than likely it is the fuel system. If it was the oil pump the sensor will not let the engine turn over. Your problem is more than likely your fuel filter is clogged up. Or your fuel pump is weak and going out.
