At your local pet store, there should be something called bath dust. It works great with gerbils. Just put a little bit in an enclosed container with a lid. Then, cut a hole in the lid so they can get in and out. Make sure it can fit in their cage. It's okay if they start chewing through the container. I prefer a GLAD container. They will clean themselves in the bath dust.
WHY is there wax on your gerbil? If hot wax fell on your gerbil its probably burned. You should take it to a vet.
If your gerbil is healthy it will have soft shiny fur, bright eyes and a clean nose.
you don't need to if you have another gerbil because they clean each other :)
Yes she does
Its not that the gerbil poos alot. Its just that some little girls dont clean out the poo
live in a clean house
Gerbils are naturally clean creatures. If a gerbil smells it cage probably needs cleaning. If not it may be ill. If this is so consult a vet.
Yes, there is not a safer way to clean it. Make sure it's eyes, mouth, and nose do not get a significant amount of water on them.
About once every two weeks.
No! What you need to do is... *Wet a cloth with nice water not too hot and not too cold just nice and toasty *Put the Hamster/Gerbil on the cloth and wipe the cloth on your Hamster/Gerbil and dont put it by the face or eyes!!! *Turn the cloth over and put nice pet shampoo made for Rabbits,Guinea Pigs,Hamster, and Gerbil *Wipe the cltoh on the body rememeber not by the Head or Eyes! But you can clean the ears *And you Hamster/Gerbil is not Stinky
As long it has plenty of food and water, and clean bedding, there shouldn't be a problem.
