There is a product called CLR that will clean calcium off things.
All I ever do is every now and then rinse out with some vinegar and water. This is just to remove hard water buildup though. The heat from the kettle will kill all germs.
CLR will work well.
The theoretical reason for using Ammonium thiosulfate, Dipropylene Glycol, and Calcium sulfate to clean the coating mixture of Calcium carbonate from Paper Notes is their ability to be used as wetting agents.
pour warm vinegar into it and let it sit for a while (swoosh around so that it reaches all sides and corners). It's a natural agent to clean the calcium deposits off. then rinse with water. safe for kettles also.
When a kettle is boiling you are able to see the chemical reaction, from the stem leaving the kettle.
You can clean a brew kettle by using Oxyclean with a wet wash cloth. Another product you can use to clean a brew kettle is called the Bar Keepers Friend.
That is unlikely. The environment in everyday household kettles is too hostile for mold as long as you use the kettle according to the manufacturers guidelines. But giving your Kettle a good clean from time to time doesn't hurt. Again, read through the manufacturer instructions how to clean the kettle.

You can use the cordless kettle to first boil water and then make the coffee in a cup. But if you make the coffee directly in the cordless kettle, it will make a mess and be very difficult to clean all the coffee grounds from it. It is better to use the kettle only for boiling water and nothing else- this way it will stay clean and last longer.

Mostly caused from hard water and it is the calcium that builds up.
