The rubber-based adhesive.
Tuck tape is much stronger and has better adhesive.
The adhesive on the duct tape will likely stain whatever material it is used on. In addition, it would be very difficult to get the adhesive off again. Duct tape is made for construction purposes, so fabric care is not taken into consideration when it is manufactured.
Rub it with Goo Gone, it will remove most adhesives and not harm most plastics.
Paper or plastic tape with an adhesive on it.
Masking tape is a paper product (usually tan color) with adhesive that makes it easily removable. It's a temporary tape. Most people put masking tape on window seals and around door frames (and many other places) when painting a room. Duct tape is made with a plastic coating (usually silver color); it has a very strong adhesive and is meant to be permanent. It's a little hard to remove and it leaves a lot of adhesive on the surface when you remove it.

Duct tape is made of three separate layers, polyethylene, a cloth mesh and a rubber based adhesive
I would say duct tape. Duct tape has considerably stronger adhesive than electric tape. On the other hand, electric tape will stretch when put in tension when duct tape may just tear - so it depends on the type of strength you are looking for.
