You can probably clean it with soapy, warm water.
Not really...makeup removers really aren't intended to remove oil from your skin. There are some makeup removers that ARE oil! A very good cleaning regimen is to use an eye makeup remover--Neutrogena's is really good--then follow that with a cleanser like Clean & Clear.

You're using the wrong products to remove them. Get some Clean & Clear face wash, a bottle of Neutrogena waterproof eye makeup remover, cotton rounds for the eye makeup remover and buf-puffs for the face wash, and it'll come off as nice as you want.

I just used nail polish remover on my black leather chair and ottoman (made by Ashley)to remove pink nail polish and it worked without damaging the leather.
Acetone is good, or nail polish remover.

Silicone glue is very tenacious on cloth. You may not be able to do this without DAP Silicone Remover. -Available in Rona and Home Depot.
Apply paint remover to paint. Allow paint to dissolve into paint remover. Wipe off resulting mixture of paint and paint remover.
