Fill them with nail polish remover, by pulling the brush partway out and pouring the remover down the brush post, or by using a tiny funnel. Let them sit an hour or so, swish the brush around to loosen old polish, then pour the remover out. Repeat as necessary until they are clean. If you are having difficulty getting the caps off (really old bottles!), soak the unopened bottle in remover until the cap can be turned.

∙ 7y agoIf the polish is super thin/liquidy, spray 5-7 sprays of any kind of perfume. If its moderately thin, add 4-5. If it's a little thin, add 3-4 sprays. Shake it to mix it in. Now wait at least 2 hours and you can use your polish again! Perfume contains drying alchohol, which dries easily.

This seems to work at first, but will ruin the polish. Use a nail polish thinner, a product made for the purpose.

∙ 6y agoold nailpolish tends to get a little thicker.. try pouring a tiny bit of nailpolish remover into the bottle and shaking it up.
