If you take too long, the first hot ones will cool down. After the fire pit is hot, it stays hot indefinitely. Shake down the fruit and the villagers will automatically place them on the fire pit.

The rocks are not exactly under the palm tree once you have a fire going go to the bridge coming down from the science area when you get to the bottom of the bridge look to the left literally there is a pile of black rocks there drag one of your villagers on the rocks and they will pick it up and put it in the fire you will then have to wait until the stone is orange. hope that this helped
How do you move the rocks on virtual villagers?
Well, I'm not sure exactly which Virtual Villagers you're talking about, but if it's the one I have, then I can answer your question. All you have to do is get someone with 3 stars for both building and 3 stars for cultivating. Then, you drag them and put them on the pile of rocks. After one person who has all those stars is moving rocks, you can have anyone help them (even if the other people don't have 3 stars on anything). I hope this helps, and sorry if it does not!
