I had the same problem... opened it all the way, couldn't close it again, felt like I was going to break it trying to pull it closed... What I ended up doing was putting the USB end face down and just downwards and it shut all right and didn't do any damage... hope this helps...

A 16GB flash drive can hold 4x as many files as a 4GB flash drive. I would recommend a 16GB.
There is only one use for a 4gb flash drive. They are used to save images, documents, video clips or sound clips and to transfer them to another computer.
Try reformatting it.
4,294,967,296 bytes.
When it comes to flash drives and SSD's, bigger has more space and its faster. Going from 4GB to 8GB will not be a noticeable effect. Only 2GB to 120GB will be noticable.
The Dane-Elec Flash Drive is compatible with Windows and Mac.
No, need a new mainboard
It is enough if you do not plan to have alot of DLC and other content. But if you are a hardcore gamer like me, 4GB will not be close to enough space. Microsoft did that on purpose so you have to go buy another hard drive, which gets them more money. You can use a flash drive as storage though. Just remember if you are using a flash drive, you can only use 16GB of it for Xbox storage.
